Alright, buckle up, because I’m gonna walk you through exactly how I managed to claw my way to Morgott in Elden Ring. It wasn’t pretty, but hey, a win’s a win, right?

First things first: I knew Morgott was chilling in Leyndell, Royal Capital. Getting there was half the battle, and it’s not exactly a straight shot. I started from the Liurnia of the Lakes region, because that’s where I was messing around last.
So, what I did was this:
- Cleared the Academy of Raya Lucaria: Yeah, I know, sounds like a detour, but I wanted the extra levels and spells. Plus, Rennala’s Great Rune is kinda useful. Beat her, grabbed the Rune.
- Headed East through Liurnia: I kept pushing east, hugging the cliff face. You’ll find a path that winds upwards. Watch out for the giants chucking rocks! Seriously annoying.
- Reached the Grand Lift of Dectus: This is the main way up to Altus Plateau. You need two halves of the Dectus Medallion. One is in Fort Haight (east of Limgrave), and the other is in Fort Faroth (in Caelid – prepare for rot!). I had already grabbed them, so I just hopped on the lift. If you’re missing them, go get ’em!
Okay, Altus Plateau time. This area is gorgeous, but don’t get distracted. We’re on a mission!
- Rode towards Leyndell’s Outer Wall: Followed the main road eastward. You’ll hit a couple of minor Erdtree bosses. They’re decent practice.
- Navigated the Outer Wall Battlefield: This place is chaotic! Catapults firing, soldiers everywhere. I mostly just dodged and weaved. Got Torrent out and sprinted past as much as I could.
- Found the Capital Rampart Site of Grace: Huge relief to finally get here! This is basically the entrance to Leyndell.
Now for the tricky part: Leyndell itself. This city is a maze.
- Climbed the Dragon’s wing: From the Capital Rampart, you’ll see a giant, petrified dragon wing. Climb it! It leads you up into the city.
- Parkoured through the streets: Lots of jumping, dodging, and climbing. Look for ladders and ledges. It’s pretty linear, but easy to get turned around.
- Fought the Erdtree Avatar: You’ll eventually come across a small Erdtree with an Avatar guarding it. Take it down to open the way forward.
- Made my way to the Queen’s Bedchamber: This involves more climbing and fighting. Keep an eye out for the various Sites of Grace. They’re lifesavers.
- Finally, the Erdtree Sanctuary: Just past the Queen’s Bedchamber. This is where Morgott’s waiting.
The Fight with Morgott: He’s tough, no doubt about it. He’s fast, hits hard, and has a bunch of holy attacks. I used a summon (Oleg, my trusty spirit ash) to draw his aggro while I wailed on him from behind. Took a few tries, but eventually, I got him!

Loot and Glory: Got his Great Rune and Remembrance. Feels good, man. Feels real good.
So that’s it! That’s how I got to Morgott. It’s a long journey, but totally worth it. Now, onto the next challenge…
