Okay, so I’ve been meaning to grab a pair of Donovan Mitchell’s signature shoes for a while now. I’m a big fan of his game, and I heard his shoes are pretty good for playing in, too. So, I finally decided to do it. This is how it went down.

The Hunt Begins
First, I started with some online browsing. I checked out a few different online stores, just to get an idea of the prices and what styles were available. Man, there are a LOT of color options! It was a little overwhelming, to be honest.
Narrowing it Down
I knew I wanted something that would look good on the court but also something I could wear casually. After looking at a bunch of pictures and reading some reviews, I decided on the D.O.N. Issue #4, because the design is awesome.
Finding My Size
- I went to a local store that carried them to try them on.
- Figuring out my size is key – don’t want to be slipping around on the court!
- I usually wear a 10.5, but I tried on both a 10.5 and an 11 just to be sure.
- The 10.5 felt a little snug, so I went with the 11. Better to have a little extra room than be cramped.
Making the Purchase
With the size figured out, I went back to the store and purchase it!
First Impressions
I put on my shoes at home, and they are comfy! I’m liking the way they feel. The cushioning seems really good, and they’re pretty lightweight.

Putting Them to the Test
Of course, the real test is how they perform on the court. I played a few pickup games, they felt great! Good grip, good support. And they look pretty sweet, if I do say so myself. I even got a few compliments.
So, that’s my experience getting Donovan Mitchell’s shoes. Overall, I’m super happy with them. They’re comfortable, supportive, and they look great. Definitely a good purchase!
