Okay, so, the other day I was hanging out with my friends, and we got into this, um, discussion about bra sizes. You know, the whole “d vs c cup” thing. It got me thinking, I really don’t know the actual difference, like, visually. So, I decided to do a little, ahem, “research” of my own. Totally for educational purposes, of course!

First, I grabbed a couple of my own bras, one C cup and one D cup. Both the same band size, mind you, that’s important! I wanted to see them side-by-side, off of me, just to get a basic idea.
Visual Comparison: On a Table
- I laid them both flat on my table.
- Honestly, at first glance, they looked almost identical.
- Then I focused on the cups themselves. The D cup, it definitely poofed out a bit more. It had a slightly rounder, fuller shape.
- The C cup, it was still rounded, but a little flatter, a little less… projection, I guess you’d call it.
Visual Comparison: Holding them Up
Next, I held them up, one in each hand, kind of like I was weighing them (which, by the way, they felt pretty much the same weight). This is where I started to see the difference more clearly.
- Holding them at arm’s length, The D cup looked obviously wider.
- The C cup, it just seemed… smaller. It’s hard to explain, but it definitely occupied less visual space.
Putting them On (The Real Test)
Of course, the real test was to see them on. So, I tried them both on, one after the other.
- The C cup, it fit, obviously, I wear C cup most of the time.
- But the D cup… whoa. It was definitely bigger. I am filling the C cup, The D cup was visibly roomier.
- It gaped a little at the top, and the sides felt like they were covering more of me.
It wasn’t a huge difference, like I could suddenly fit two of me in there, but it was noticeable.
So, that’s my little experiment. Conclusion? A D cup is noticeably bigger than a C cup, but it’s not a crazy, dramatic difference. It’s more about the fullness and projection of the cup. It’s subtle, but it’s there. I feel slightly more educated now. And maybe a little silly, but hey, a girl’s gotta learn somehow, right?
