Alright, let me tell you about this guy Chris Padilla, a lightweight MMA fighter I’ve been following. I first heard about him a while back, and I was like, “Who’s this Taco guy?” Turns out, it’s his nickname – Chris “Taco” Padilla.

So, I started digging into his fights. This guy’s been in the game for a bit, and his record is pretty solid. He’s had a bunch of fights, but the one that really caught my eye was his latest one against Rong Zhu.
I watched some of his older fights, saw how he moved, how he struck, how he grappled. This guy’s got skills, no doubt. But this fight with Rong Zhu, man, that was something else.
It went down on September 7, 2024, in Enterprise. I remember seeing the date and thinking, “I gotta see this.” So, I made sure I was free that night. Got my snacks ready, drinks, the whole shebang. I was hyped.
When the fight started, I was on the edge of my seat. Padilla was looking good, moving well, landing some good shots. But Zhu was tough, too. He was taking those hits and coming back for more.
The first round was intense, back and forth. I was like, “This is a war!” Both guys were giving it their all. I was impressed with both, but I was rooting for Padilla. I wanted to see him win.

Then came the second round. Padilla started to turn up the heat. He was landing more, moving better, and you could see Zhu was starting to slow down. And then, it happened.
- Round 2, 4:14.
Padilla landed some heavy blows, and Zhu just couldn’t take it anymore. The ref called it a TKO, doctor’s stoppage. Padilla won! I jumped up, yelling, “Yes! He did it!” It was an incredible moment.
After the fight, I saw some posts online. People were talking about Padilla, saying he deserved a bonus. I saw he even asked for a $50,000 bonus himself! I was like, “Yeah, man, you deserve it!” He put on a great show, and that win was well-earned. I heard he’s now 2-0 in the UFC, which is awesome. It looks like good things are coming his way.
I’m telling you, this Chris “Taco” Padilla guy, he’s the real deal. He cooked up something special in that octagon, and I can’t wait to see what he does next. If you’re an MMA fan, keep an eye on this guy. He’s going places.
