Okay, so I’ve been seeing this “Chris Alvarado” name pop up all over the calisthenics scene, and I figured it was time to dive in and see what the hype was all about. I’m always looking for new workout routines and inspiration, so I decided to give his stuff a try. Here’s how it went down:

Digging into the Info
First things first, I needed to figure out who this guy even was. I started with a simple search, you know, just typing his name into the search bar. I found some basic info about him, like he’s a calisthenics expert and has a bunch of workout programs. It was time to dig deeper and see what it’s all about.I wanted to find some actual workouts, not just articles talking about him.
Trying Out the Moves
I found some of the videos that talked about basic exercises. Stuff like pull-ups, push-ups, dips, squats – the foundation, you know? I’m no stranger to these, but I wanted to see how he approached them. I noticed he’s really big on proper form, which, duh, everyone should be, but he had some specific cues that I hadn’t really focused on before.
- Pull-ups: He emphasized keeping the core super tight and really pulling with the back, not just the arms. I tried it, and man, I felt it way more in my lats.
- Push-ups: It was all about keeping the body in a straight line, like a plank, and controlling the descent. No sloppy push-ups here! I definitely felt a deeper burn.
- Dips: Same deal – control, full range of motion, and keeping the shoulders healthy. He had some tips about leaning forward slightly that really helped target the chest.
- Squats: He’s a stickler for good posture and going deep. My legs were burning, I am not going to lie.
Putting It All Together
After getting a feel for his basic exercises, I started checking out some of his actual workout routines.I found his workouts were pretty intense!Lots of supersets and minimal rest. I’m used to taking longer breaks, so this was a challenge. But, hey, that’s how you get results, right? I pushed myself, took breaks when I absolutely needed them, and just tried to keep up.
The Results?
So, I’ve been incorporating some of Chris Alvarado’s techniques and workouts into my routine for a while now. It’s not a complete overhaul, but I’ve definitely picked up some valuable things. My form on the basic exercises feels much better, and I’m feeling stronger. I think I am starting to see some difference, yeah.I’m still exploring his stuff. There’s so much content out there, it’s a bit overwhelming. But, overall, I’m impressed. This guy knows his stuff. It’s not magic, it’s just solid calisthenics training, but his emphasis on form and intensity has definitely made a difference for me.
I will definitely continue doing some of his routines.
