Alright, so I wanted to keep better track of how the Cherries (that’s Bournemouth, for the uninitiated) are doing this season. I figured, why not just build something myself to check their standings? It’s more fun than just looking it up on some random site.
First thing I did was find a place where get standings data. I just searched and found some data.
Digging into the Data
Then I saw a good data, and started checking it out. Turns out, it was pretty straightforward. It’s all laid out there: wins, losses, draws, points – the usual stuff.
I copied down some key stats just to get a feel for things:
- Current Rank: 9th. Not bad, all things considered!
- Matches Played: 10. We’re still pretty early in the season.
- Wins: 4.
- Draws: 3.
- Losses: 3.
- Points per match: 1.5.
The Current Standings
I checked data to get the current standings. Bournemouth is sitting at 9th, out of 20 teams. They are not in danger of relegation.
