Alright, so I wanted to get some sweet loot in Borderlands 3, and I heard about these Diamond Keys. Figured I’d give it a shot and document the whole process. Here’s how it went down:
Finding the SHiFT Codes
First things first, I needed those SHiFT codes. I started by just plain old Googling “Borderlands 3 diamond key shift codes 2024”.
Lots of sites popped up. I avoided the ones that looked super sketchy or clickbaity. I mostly stuck to ones that looked like gaming news sites or forums.
I found a couple of lists, and some of the codes were expired (no surprise there), but I did manage to find a few that looked promising.
Redeeming the Codes
Next, I had to actually use these codes. I had two options: do it in-game, or through the SHiFT website.
In-Game Method:
- I booted up Borderlands 3.
- Went to the Social menu.
- Clicked on the SHiFT tab.
- There’s a place to enter the codes. Typed them in very carefully (those things are case-sensitive!).
SHiFT Website Method:
- I went to the official SHiFT website.
- Logged into my SHiFT account (had to make one, but it was pretty quick).
- Found the “Rewards” section.
- There’s a spot to paste in the SHiFT codes. Did that.
- Made sure my game account (like, my PlayStation/Xbox/Steam account) was linked to my SHiFT account. This is super important, or it won’t work.
I tried both methods, just to see which one I liked better. Honestly, they both worked about the same. The website was maybe a tiny bit faster.
Claiming the Rewards
After redeeming the codes, I went back into the game.
- Went to my in-game mailbox (it’s also in the Social menu).
- There they were! My beautiful Diamond Keys (and sometimes Golden Keys, too, from other codes).
- Accepted them into my inventory.
Using the Diamond Keys
Now for the fun part! Using the Diamond Keys at the Diamond Armory on Sanctuary III.
- I fast-traveled to Sanctuary III.
- Headed down to the lower decks.
- Found the Diamond Armory (it’s under the bridge, easy to spot once you know where to look).
- Used a Diamond Key on the special chest.
- Watched that cool animation where you get to pick your loot!
It took a few tries, and some of the codes were duds, but I did manage to snag a couple of Diamond Keys this way. It’s definitely a bit of a hunt, but free legendary gear is worth it, right?
