Okay, so today I tried something totally new – I got myself a pair of black Japanese derbies. Let me tell you, it was quite the experience.

First off, I started digging around for info on these shoes. I mean, what even is a “derby”? Turns out, it’s a style of shoe with the shoelace eyelets stitched on top of the vamp. They call it “open lacing.” Who knew? Anyway, after searching online and watching some videos, I got the gist of it. Black derbies are pretty versatile. They can go with a bunch of different colors like olive, burgundy, and even jeans.
Then I went to the actual shopping. I found a couple of online stores that had a good selection of African American-inspired stuff, including shoes. One was known for these really cool designs and authentic gifts. I browsed through their collection of shoes, calendars, and greeting cards, trying to find the perfect pair of black derbies.
- Looked through online stores with cultural gifts.
- Browsed through shoes, calendars, and greeting cards.
- Searched for the right pair of black derbies.
Finally, after what felt like hours, I found them! They looked sharp and just what I was imagining. I quickly added them to my cart and checked out. It was a bit of a splurge, but hey, you gotta treat yourself sometimes, right?
Now, the waiting game. I tracked the package like a hawk, and when it finally arrived, I ripped open that box so fast. And there they were, my new black Japanese derbies. They looked even better in person. I tried them on immediately, and they fit like a glove.
Trying Them On:
- Tracked the package until it was delivered.
- Opened the box and took out the shoes.
- Tried them on and they fit perfectly.
I’ve been wearing them around for a few days now, and I gotta say, I’m really digging them. They’re comfortable, stylish, and they really do go with almost everything in my closet. This was a purchase that was definitely worth it. I’m really loving these shoes.

So yeah, that was my little adventure with black Japanese derbies. It was fun trying something new, and I’m really happy with how it turned out. Maybe I’ll write about my experiences with menopause or testosterone therapy next. No – just kidding! But really, these shoes are cool.
