So, I wanted to mess around with this “Ice Staff Code” thing in Call of Duty: Black Ops II Zombies. I’d heard about it and thought, why not give it a shot?
First off, I had to get the Ice Staff, which wasn’t too bad. Basically, you gotta dig around when it’s snowing in the game. I just ran around digging up every spot I could find while it was snowing. There’s like a one in three chance you’ll get a part each time you dig. I got lucky, I guess, and found all the parts pretty quick. There’s also this disc thing you need, and that’s chilling inside the Gen 2 area. I just looked around and found it – it wasn’t hidden too well or anything.
Then there’s this other staff, the Wind Staff. I didn’t need to build it for this, but I figured I might as well mention it. You find the parts for that one inside these Giant Robots. Again, I just messed around until I got all the parts for that one, too.
Now, to actually upgrade the Ice Staff, that’s where it gets a little tricky. You gotta go through this blue portal to the crazy place. Once you’re there, you’ll see these blue symbols all over the place. There are some on the stones above you, and one on the wall next to you.
Here’s the puzzle part: you gotta shoot the stone above you that has the same symbol as the one on the wall. It’s like a matching game. I spent some time looking at them, and it was kind of confusing at first. They’re all triangles and lines, and you have to match them to the circle symbols. But once I figured out which one was which, it was pretty straightforward. You just shoot the right stone, and that’s it.
I heard there are other puzzles to upgrade this thing, but I only messed with this first one. It was a fun little challenge, nothing too crazy. After I did the puzzle, the Ice Staff felt way more powerful. All in all, it was a good time. I might try the other puzzles later, but for now, I’m happy with how it turned out.
Anyway, that’s how I spent my evening. Just wanted to share my little adventure with the Ice Staff in Call of Duty Zombies. It was a cool little thing to figure out.
