So, I was down a rabbit hole on the internet the other day, as you do, and I stumbled upon this question: “Why are Australians called Kiwis?” I mean, I always thought Kiwis were, well, New Zealanders. So, I got curious and decided to dig in.

Are all Australians called Kiwis? Get the full story here!

My Little Investigation

First, I hit up good old Google. Just typed in the question, simple as that. The search results were kind of all over the place, a real mixed bag. Some sites were saying one thing, others were saying something completely different. It was confusing!

Then, I started to look for patterns. You know, to see if multiple sources were saying the same thing. It’s like, if enough people agree on something, there’s probably some truth to it, right?

I realized that “kiwi,” is first the name of the animal-flightless bird, then, the people of New Zealand are known as “Kiwis”.

The websites were all pretty clear on * the problem is that there are no clear answer on why Austrilian are called “Kiwis”.It’s clear that the websites didn’t show exact meaning. I’m still confusing, maybe the question is incorrect.I should keep searching and learning.
