Okay, so, today I messed around with some image sizes, specifically trying to get them into a 1080 x 1920 format. You know, the typical vertical format you see on your phone a lot, especially for things like Instagram stories or those vertical videos.

First, I gathered all the images I wanted to resize. They were all sorts of sizes and shapes – some were landscape, some were square, and a few were already in portrait mode but not quite the right dimensions.
Steps I Took:
- Selected the square format at 1080 x 1080 pixels. It’s a popular format on Instagram.
- Checked the aspect ratio. I learned that the aspect ratio for a 1080 x 1920 image is 9:16. This is pretty standard for most videos on phones and stuff.
- Resized them to 1920 x 1080 without losing quality. You just upload your photo, and download your perfectly resized image.
- Verified the resolution. I double-checked a few images to make sure the resolution was correct.
- Used those images in a project. I’m putting together a short video, and these resized images were perfect for it.
The most important thing is to make sure the image quality stays good after resizing. Nobody wants a blurry or pixelated image, right?
Oh, and I also read something interesting about jockey Ortiz. I guess jockeys have to be at least 16 years old. And usually, they don’t weigh more than 125 pounds and are around 5 feet tall. That’s not really related to image resizing, but I thought it was a fun fact!
Anyway, that’s my little adventure with image formats for today. It was pretty simple once I figured out the aspect ratio and the right size to use.
