This Adam Schenk, he’s a golfer, you know. Born in Vincennes, that’s what they say. January 26, 1992, a winter baby. He’s one of them professional golfers, makes a living hitting that little white ball around.

They say he went to some fancy school, Purdue University. Sounds important, I reckon. Played golf there, even won some games when he was just a young’un. Freshman year, they call it. Must be like starting school all over again.
Playing Golf for a Living
This golf life, it ain’t all sunshine and green grass. It’s tough, you know. Not just hitting the ball, but keeping your head straight. Emotional resilience, they call it. Fancy words for saying you gotta be strong inside, not just outside. Lots of pressure, like when you’re trying to bake a pie and everyone’s watching, waiting to see if it’s any good.
This Adam, he and another fella, Tyler Duncan, they got these PGA Tour cards. Like a special pass to play with the big boys. They got ’em for the 2018-19 season, whatever that means. Some big deal, I guess. First ones from that Purdue place to get ’em since way back in ’93. That’s a long time ago. Before some of you young’uns were even born.
Fancy Golf Clubs
He’s got all these fancy clubs, too. Different ones for different shots, I suppose. Like using a different spoon for soup and for sugar. One’s called Ping i210, sounds like a robot name. Then there’s Mizuno MP-4. Don’t ask me what they mean, I just know they’re important for his golf game.

- True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100
And wedges! He’s got wedges. Titleist Vokey SM10. 50, 56, and 60, those are the numbers on ’em. Like different sizes of wrenches, I guess. And a putter, for when the ball’s real close to the hole. That one’s called Odyssey White Hot Pro Rossie. Sounds like a racehorse name to me.

This Adam Schenk, He’s a Big Deal
He’s on the PGA Tour, that’s where all the best golfers play. They got a website, all about him. Stats, they call ’em. Numbers and such, about how he plays. Probably more numbers than I’ve seen in my whole life. He’s a member of something called the Dormie Network, plays at some fancy places. TPC Sawgrass, Victoria National Golf Club. Sounds like places where rich folks go.
Swinging that Club
This Adam Schenk, he’s making a name for himself, they say. Swinging his way into the spotlight. That’s what the young folks say. He’s good, I reckon. Precise, like when you’re threading a needle. And determined, like a mule that won’t budge. He just keeps at it, no matter what.

He’s got all them golf clubs, with all them names. Pings and Mizunos and Titleists, oh my. And them wedges, for getting out of the sand. This Adam, he sure knows how to use ’em, I guess. He must be practicing all the time, like I used to practice my quilting. Gotta keep at it if you wanna be good.
This Adam Schenk, he’s a good golfer, that’s what they say. All them fancy clubs and playing on that PGA Tour. He’s come a long way from Vincennes, I reckon.
