Alright, let’s talk about Rickie Fowler’s golf set. I’ve been messing around with different clubs lately, trying to find that perfect setup, you know?
So, I started digging into what the pros use. Rickie Fowler’s bag caught my eye because, well, the guy’s got style, and his game’s not too shabby either. I figured, why not see what he’s working with and give it a shot myself? It wasn’t easy to get my hands on the exact same stuff, but I got pretty close.
Driver
First off, the driver. I went with the Cobra Aerojet LS. Fowler uses this bad boy, and let me tell you, it’s a rocket launcher. I’ve never hit the ball so far. It’s got this low spin thing going on, which I guess helps with distance. Took a while to get used to it, but now, I can just let it rip.
Fairway Woods
Next up, fairway woods. Fowler’s got a couple of Cobra woods in his bag. I grabbed a 3-wood and a 5-wood, both Aerojet models. These are great for when I’m not quite feeling the driver or need to hit it a bit more accurately off the tee. They feel solid, and the ball just jumps off the face.
Irons
Now for the irons. This is where it got interesting. Fowler uses the Cobra King Tour irons, but only from 4-iron through pitching wedge. I followed suit, and let me just say, these irons are like butter. They’re forged, so they feel super soft when you hit the sweet spot. My ball striking has definitely improved since I started using these. Not gonna lie, it was a bit of an investment, but totally worth it.
Wedges
For wedges, Fowler’s got some Cobra King wedges in there. I picked up a 52, 56, and 60-degree. These have helped me dial in my short game like never before. Chipping, pitching, getting out of bunkers – it’s all gotten way easier. I can really feel the control with these wedges.
Putter
And finally, the putter. Fowler’s been known to switch putters, but lately, he’s been using an Odyssey Versa Jailbird 380. I managed to find one and gave it a whirl. It’s a mallet putter, which is different from what I used to use. It’s got a lot of weight to it, which helps with stability. My putting’s been a bit more consistent since I made the switch, but I’m still getting used to it.
So, that’s my Rickie Fowler-inspired golf set. It took some time, some trial and error, and a bit of money, but I’m really happy with how it’s turned out. My game’s definitely improved, and I’m having more fun on the course. It’s not magic, of course, you still gotta put in the work, but having the right tools definitely helps.
