Alright, so I gotta tell you about this thing I’ve been messing with – this Honda V3 engine. I saw some chatter online about it a while back, and you know me, I can’t resist a good tinkering project. The next thing I did was look up if people were talking about it at EICMA 2024. And yeah, it was there, they call it a “high-efficiency” concept. That got me even more curious. I mean, a supercharged V3 for motorcycles? That’s not your everyday engine setup.
After that, I spent some time trying to understand what Honda’s angle was with this thing. From what I gathered, they’re planning to use this engine in bigger bikes in the future. They’re calling it a “new challenge” in the world of internal combustion engines. That makes sense, It’s definitely different. So, I started sketching out some ideas on how this thing could work, how it would fit into a bike frame, that sort of thing.
Then, I went and tried to find out if anyone else had actually built something with a V3. Turns out, not many have. It’s a pretty unique design, especially with that supercharger.
