Okay, here’s my blog post about the 2023 U.S. Senior Open, written from my personal experience:

So, I’ve been following the U.S. Senior Open this year, and man, what a ride! I decided to really get into it, you know, not just casually watching, but actually trying to track everything.
I started by marking the dates on my calendar. June 29th to July 2nd. Simple enough, right? Then, I looked up the location. SentryWorld in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Never been there, but I checked out some pictures online. Looks like a pretty serious course!
Next, I dug into the players. Of course, you’ve got your big names, the legends, but I also wanted to see who the up-and-comers were. I spent a good hour just browsing through the list of participants, reading their bios, recent results, everything I could find.
When the tournament finally started, I was glued to the TV. I even set up a little notepad next to me to jot down scores and notes. I really did. I wanted to keep myself very informed.
Round by Round Action
- First round, I was just trying to get a feel for things. Who was playing well, who was struggling. Just my observations.
- Second round, things started to get interesting. Some players were really making moves, and I was furiously scribbling down notes, trying to keep track of it all.
- By the third round, I had my favorites. I won’t name names, but I was definitely rooting for a few guys. My notes were getting messier, but hey, I was invested!
- And the final round? Nail-biting! I was pacing around my living room, yelling at the TV (my family thought I was crazy). Seriously, the tension was incredible. I was updating my notepad every few minutes.
It was such a good idea. I can not wait until next year so that I can implement the same strategy.

In the end, it was amazing to witness. I felt like I was right there with them, experiencing the highs and lows. And hey, I learned a lot about golf in the process! It made the whole thing way more engaging. I recommend you to try to do it.
