Hey everyone, it’s your boy back at it again with another crazy story. This time, it’s about a 1995 Tom Brady baseball card. Yeah, you heard that right – Tom Brady, the football legend, had a baseball past, and I went down a rabbit hole trying to figure out this whole baseball card thing.

So, it all started when I stumbled upon an online listing for old baseball cards. I’m not even a huge baseball fan, but the year 1995 caught my eye. Then I saw it: “1995 Topps Draft Pick Ben Grieve #212 A’s Rookie Baseball Cards.” And next to it, something about a Tom Brady card. My mind was blown. Tom Brady played baseball? I had to know more.
I started digging, and man, it got interesting. I found out that Brady was drafted by the Montreal Expos in 1995 as a catcher! Who knew, right? There were listings for custom-made “rookie” cards of him with the Expos. They were tagged with things like “Near Mint” and “A great Brady.” I was starting to get hooked. This was way more fascinating than I expected.
Then, the real shocker came. I read that a rare Tom Brady baseball card was pulled by some collector, and it was supposedly worth over $500,000! Can you believe that? Half a million dollars for a baseball card of a guy who’s famous for football! This was getting out of hand.
- I kept searching, and the prices just kept going up.
- I found another listing for a promo card – not even an official one – and it was out of stock!
- People were going nuts for these things.
The estimated value for a perfect condition card, like a PSA 10 Gem Mint, was around $350,000! These cards can sell for millions! I was losing it at this point. A normal card could be worth the price of a house!
I even found listings for a “2023 Bowman Draft #95AV-TB 1995 Bowman Dream Draft Picks Autographs – Gold Refractor /50” card. That’s a mouthful, right? Apparently, this one had Brady’s autograph on it and was going for some serious cash, too. It was in PSA 10 condition, whatever that means. Oh and it’s also tagged with Gold Beach, I guess that’s where it’s located.

Then I saw comments from people who had actually bought these cards. One guy said, “Exact card pictured arrived; gorgeous and PSA verified. Packed with care and shipped fast! Awesome Job.” Like, who spends this much money on a card and leaves a review like it’s a normal thing?
The craziest thing I found was that a one-of-a-kind autographed Tom Brady baseball card was up for auction at some place called Goldin. And get this, another one of these unique cards, showing Brady as a Montreal Expo, actually sold for $158! It’s not millions, but still, that’s insane for a card!
So, yeah, that’s my story about diving into the wild world of Tom Brady baseball cards. It started with a simple online listing and ended with me questioning everything I thought I knew about sports memorabilia. It’s a crazy world out there, folks, and these cards are just a tiny piece of it. Stay tuned for more of my random adventures!
