Okay, so I wanted to play around with drawing parts of a circle in, like, a visual way. I’m not a math whiz or anything, so I just wanted something simple. I figured, “Hey, one-third of a circle, that sounds doable!”

Getting Started
First, I grabbed a piece of paper and a pen. Old school, I know. I needed something to help me draw a perfect circle, Because my freehand circles are always, um, unique. A compass would have been ideal, but, you know, I couldn’t find one. So, a small plate from my kitchen to the rescue! I traced around it to get my circle.
Dividing It Up
Now, the tricky part – splitting it into thirds.I remembered something about a circle being 360 degrees. So, one-third should be… 360 divided by 3… which is 120 degrees,I used a protractor.
I placed the protractor’s center on my circle’s center point (which I’d eyeballed, honestly) and marked 120 degrees. Then, I drew a line from the center to that mark. One slice down!
- Find the center(Eyeballing it!)
- Mark 120 degrees.
- Draw the line from the center to mark 120 degrees.
From that line, I measured another 120 degrees and drew another line from the center. And that gave me my three sections. They looked pretty even, which was good enough for me!
The Final Result
I now had a circle neatly divided into three equal parts. I even shaded one of the sections in, just to make it stand out. It was a super simple exercise, but it was satisfying to visually create that one-third slice.

It’s kind things make me feel happy.
