Hey everyone, so I was trying to figure out who’s playing in the Thursday Night Football game tonight. It’s been a long week, and honestly, I just wanted to kick back and watch some football.
First, I grabbed my phone and started searching online. I typed in something like, “who is playing Thursday Night Football tonight?” into the search bar. You know, the usual. I scrolled through a bunch of results, and they all seemed a bit confusing.
I saw a few different dates and times, and it was kind of a mess. Some articles talked about a game on December 19th, and others mentioned December 26th, 2024. Then there was one that said something about January 2nd, 2025. Seriously, it was all over the place!
I read something about the game being at Soldier Field in Chicago, but then another result said it’s at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. It is really confusing for someone who doesn’t follow every single game.
I dug a little deeper, and found out that Amazon bought the rights to Thursday Night Football in 2021 and started showing the games in 2022. That’s interesting and all, but it still didn’t tell me who’s playing tonight. One article said there are no Thursday Night Football games in NFL Week 18, and that Amazon Prime’s season-long games ended with Week 17.
Finally, after more searching than I care to admit, I figured it out. There’s actually no Thursday Night Football game tonight, which is January 2nd, 2025. Apparently, the season is over for these games. The last one was between the Seattle Seahawks and the Chicago Bears, and Seattle won 6-3.
So, yeah, that’s my little adventure in trying to find out who’s playing football tonight. Turns out, nobody is. I guess I’ll have to find something else to do.
