It felt like those corporate training sessions where they introduce a new “streamlined” process that just adds five extra steps to everything you do. You nod along, then go back to your desk and do it the old way because, you know, you actually have work to finish.
I persevered for about a week with this Linda Maria system. I really did. I wanted it to work. I imagined this beautifully organized digital life. Finding any file in seconds. Pure bliss.
The Reality Check and Moving On
The reality? It was a mess. A tagged mess, but still a mess. Searching by tags was okay, sometimes. But often, I’d forget the exact tag I used. Was it “Invoice_ClientA” or “ClientA_Invoice”? Or maybe “Billing_ClientA”? It was faster to just visually scan through my old, “chaotic” folders sometimes.

Maybe it works for Linda Maria, whoever she is. Good for her. As for me, I’ll stick to what gets the job done without giving me a headache.
