Today got up thinking I’d finally nail that Tijuana-inspired whitecaps flavor everybody raves about. Went to the store like last week, but completely forgot the canned coconut milk—total pain in the ass. Grabbed my sketchy old blender from the cabinet instead.

Started simple: spooned four tablespoons of powdered sugar into the blender cup. Looked too little so dumped two more. Squeezed one whole lime like I saw on YouTube. Pulp flew everywhere—wiped the counter with my sleeve. Dropped ice cubes until it filled half the blender. Slammed the lid down hard.
Blender sounded like a dying chainsaw. Ten seconds in, smoke came out the motor. Unplugged that piece of junk and poked at the lumpy mess inside. Looked like wet cement with green chunks.
Not giving up though. Dumped it all into a big mug. Tasted it—sour as hell. Threw in:
- Another tablespoon sugar
- Pinch of salt from taco night
- Splash of vanilla extract
Stirred with a butter knife because spoons were dirty. Guzzled it down fast. Turned out weirdly decent—like lime candy with kick. Froth even kinda looked like whitecaps. Smelled like floor cleaner but whatevs.
Cleaned the disaster zone later. Still finding lime seeds in weird places. Lesson learned: cheap appliances suck, but stubbornness tastes okay.
