My Quest for the Orphic Hammer
Alright so I started my playthrough yesterday and realized I needed that damn Orphic Hammer to free someone important. Total headache at first – no clue where to find it. Checked online guides but they all sounded like rocket science.
First thing I did was fast travel to Devil’s Fee in Lower City. Talked to Helsik the vendor chick inside. When she asked about special merchandise, I picked “Show me what forbidden goods you’ve got”. Bam! Her secret inventory popped up with crazy expensive ritual items.
Here’s the shopping list I had to grab:
- Diamond worth 1,000 gold
- Obsidian worth 500 gold
- Humanoid skull (gross but whatever)
- Incense worth another 500 gold
Total robbery – cost me like 20k gold! Almost reloaded my save right there. Paid up though ’cause no shortcuts for this thing.
Next part was tricky: setting up the ritual circle on Helsik’s pentagram rug. Had to place everything super precise:
- Skull on the northern point
- Incense on southern point
- Diamond on eastern point
- Obsidian on western point
Mess this up and you gotta rebuy everything. Took me three tries like an idiot.
Finished the ritual and jumped straight into Hell. Crazy fire and screaming everywhere. Navigated through Raphael’s creepy House of Hope, avoiding those OP incubus guards. Found the Archives room with all those moving bookcases – what a puzzle! Solved it by pulling the “Infernal Pulsator” lever behind that fake wall.
Final stretch: Sneak past the vault guards. Tried fighting them first time – got wrecked in 10 seconds. Better to go invisible or use fog clouds. Opened the display case and there it was! Big-ass hammer glowing purple. Grabbed that beauty and teleported out before Raphael showed up.
Whole process took me two damn hours. Felt amazing when I finally had it though. That hammer weighs a ton but smashes everything in sight. Pro tip: Steal back your gold from Helsik’s basement chest after the ritual – she totally deserves it.
