So I’ve been grinding on this F1 game all week, right? Kept smashing into walls and spinning out on corners. Total nightmare. Started digging around forums and found these three “monster problems” everyone complains about. Decided to test fixes myself – no fancy tools, just trial and error.

The Spinout Disaster
First big headache: accelerating out of slow corners felt like driving on ice. Car would spin 180 degrees every damn time. Tried mashing the throttle less aggressively – still spinning. Then I remembered something about traction control settings.
- Cranked TC up to medium (was on low)
- Short-shifted gears before hard acceleration
- Added one notch rearward on brake bias
Took three practice laps to get it right. Suddenly the car hooked up like magic. Still lose a tiny bit of exit speed, but at least I’m not facing backwards anymore.
Brake Lockup Chaos
Next monster: brakes locking up under heavy braking zones. Kept sailing straight into gravel every time I hit Monaco’s turn 1. Lowered brake pressure first – made it worse somehow. Then had a lightbulb moment about tire temps.
- Started doing tire warmup laps religiously
- Pulsed brakes instead of stomping on them
- Increased front downforce by two clicks
Nearly crashed twice testing this. But by lap five? Stopping like a dream. Picked up three tenths just from not overshooting corners.
Fuel Gamble Nightmare
Final headache came mid-race. Kept running out of fuel on last lap. Added extra fuel initially – made car super sluggish. Total lose-lose situation. Watched real F1 drivers coasting.

- Coasted last 100 meters before braking zones
- Used lean mix when leading by 3+ seconds
- Short-shifted everywhere except straights
Gained two laps of fuel just from coasting tricks. Finished Spain with 0.2L left – sweatiest moment of my week.
These fixes seem stupid simple now, but man did they change everything. Went from P20 to consistent points finishes overnight. Still not winning races yet, but at least I’m not the crash dummy anymore.
