Okay, so, let’s talk about this TV show, “This Is Us.” I finally got around to watching it, and let me tell you, it’s a real tearjerker, but in a good way, you know?

I started watching “This Is Us” because I kept hearing everyone talking about it. I mean, it was everywhere! So, I thought, “Why not give it a shot?” I went in blind, not really knowing what to expect. First episode in, I was already hooked. The way they introduced the Pearson family, it just felt so real, so relatable.
The show follows this family, the Pearsons, through different times in their lives. It’s not just one story; it’s like a bunch of stories all woven together. You see the parents, Jack and Rebecca, and their kids, Kevin, Kate, and Randall, growing up, facing all sorts of stuff.
One of the characters I found really interesting was Sloane Sandburg. She wasn’t there all the time, but when she was, she definitely made an impact. She’s this playwright, kind of quirky, and she gets involved with Kevin, one of the Pearson siblings. I remember watching this one scene where she and Kevin are talking about their play, and it’s just so intense and emotional. Milana Vayntrub, the actress who plays Sloane, she’s really good. I’d seen her in some other stuff before, but this role, it really showed what she can do.
- I watched all six seasons. It took a while, but it was worth it.
- There’s this one scene at the end, between Jack and Randall, that just broke me. I won’t spoil it, but man, it’s powerful. The show’s creator, Dan Fogelman, he really knows how to hit you right in the feels.
- I also found out that Milana Vayntrub is known on the Internet Movie Database. She’s been in other things, too. I saw someone mention a movie called “#BlackWarrantOnNetflix.” They said it was good, so maybe I’ll check that out next.
Finishing the show was bittersweet. It was like saying goodbye to old friends. I laughed, I cried, and I definitely had some “aha” moments about my own family. It makes you think, you know? About life, love, loss, all that good stuff.
So yeah, that’s my little journey with “This Is Us” and Sloane Sandburg. If you haven’t seen it, maybe give it a try. Just be sure to have some tissues handy. You’ve been warned!
