Okay, so, I was trying to figure out where this “ZZ” thing was in “The Motherload.” I’d heard some talk about it, and, you know, being a completionist, I had to find it. I’d been poking around the Shadowvein cave, thinking it had something to do with those crushers I’d been activating. You know, the ones that give you those Valorstones? Yeah, that quest.
So, I was running around, looking for this “master switch” that’s supposed to control the crushers. I finally found it in this big cave at the north edge of the site, just like some guy named Dagran had said. And, get this, there’s this little robot-like dude, ZZ-01-47, who’s been helping me out. Turns out, he’s related to this whole thing.
Here’s what I did:
- First, I finished up that “We Require More Minerals” quest. That’s where you meet ZZ-01-47.
- Then, I went into the Shadowvein Mine and found that master switch.
- After that, I kept following the questline, which led me to some other things.
Turns out, ZZ is part of the whole questline, and there was some kind of deal going on with elementals. I even had to send a “fatal message” to some Mogul Razdunk guy. And there was something about an update, which was apparently long overdue.
Turns out, finding ZZ was a whole thing
I learned a lot from just looking around online, you know. I found out that “The Motherload” is also a song by Mastodon, and there’s a lot going on with the band ZZ Top, like their bassist, Dusty Hill, passing away and his wife, Charleen McCrory, talking about it. But that’s a whole other story.
Anyways, finding “ZZ” in the game wasn’t just about activating some crushers. It was a whole adventure with that little robot, some elementals, and a bunch of other stuff. It felt like a huge update, like the whole thing was long overdue. Finally, I completed the quests and learned a lot.
