Okay, so I was itching to try out some stuff in “Age of Mythology: Retold” and wanted to mess around with some cheat codes. I’ve played the original game before, so I kinda knew what I was getting into, but this is a whole new beast.

First off, I booted up the game and jumped into a random skirmish. I just wanted to get a feel for the new graphics and all that jazz before diving into the cheats. Once I was in, I remembered the good old days of hitting Enter to bring up the chat box. That’s where the magic happens.
Using the Cheats
- Getting Started:
Pressed Enter, typed in my cheat code, and then slammed Enter again to activate it. By the way, they’re not case-sensitive anymore, which is pretty neat.
-
Testing DEVASD:
I decided to go big or go home and tried out the “DEVASD” cheat first. I typed “DEVASD” into the chat, hit Enter, and bam! My resources shot up, everything was building in like a second, and my population cap went through the roof. Plus, I could spam god powers like there’s no tomorrow. Oh, and it spawned three UFOs for some reason and cleared the fog of war, which was wild.
- Experimenting More:
Then I got curious and started trying out other random cheats. There’s a bunch that just gives you a ton of food or wood, which is super handy if you’re impatient like me. I’m pretty sure there are, like, 48 or more cheats in total.
After messing around for a while, I found this website called “Pastebin”. Apparently, it’s been around since 2002, and people use it to store text. It had a huge list of cheat codes and other random stuff. It was a bit overwhelming, but it was cool to see what the community was up to. And I even stumbled upon a basic guide for modding. Apparently, you just gotta go into the game files, but I didn’t really get into that this time around.
Honestly, it was a blast messing with these cheats. It made the game feel totally different, and I can see myself spending way too much time just goofing off with all these different codes. I’ve heard about “Trainers City” also, they update a lot of new games’ trainers, I think I’ll check it in the future. I mean, who needs to play fair when you can have this much fun, right?
