Okay, so I decided to check out “the park at voss” the other day. Heard some talk about it, figured I’d see what was up. Wasn’t expecting much, just needed a change of scenery from staring at the same four walls, you know?

Making My Way Over
Getting there wasn’t too bad, surprisingly. Left mid-morning, hoping to beat the worst of any crowds or traffic. Found a spot to park without too much fuss, which was a good start. Always feels like a small victory, finding decent parking.
Walking Around the Place
So, I got out and started walking. It’s definitely a park, alright. Lots of green space, which is nice. Trees dotted around, some benches here and there. Saw the usual mix – people jogging, families with kids, folks just sitting around.
I didn’t have a set plan. Just ambled along the pathways. Took a look at some flower beds they had planted. They were okay, looked like they were trying, at least. Found a path that went a bit further in, away from the main open area. It got a bit quieter back there.
Followed that for a while.
Ended up near some sort of water feature. A small pond or maybe a large fountain setup? Wasn’t entirely clear. Sat on a nearby bench for a bit, just watching the water. Couple of ducks paddling about. Pretty standard park stuff.

- Walked the main loop
- Checked out a quieter side path
- Sat by the water for a bit
Saw a spot where people were gathered, looked like some kind of boot camp or outdoor exercise class was going on. Lots of jumping jacks and whatnot. Not my thing, but they seemed into it.
Wrapping It Up
Spent maybe an hour or so just wandering and sitting. Felt like enough time to get the vibe of the place. It’s a decent enough park. Clean, seemed relatively well-kept. Nothing earth-shattering, but a solid place to stretch your legs or sit outside for a bit.
Headed back to the car after that. Got a bit of fresh air, saw something different. Mission accomplished, I guess. It served its purpose. Just a straightforward park experience, really. Glad I went to see it for myself.
