Okay so today I wanted to figure out where the heck to actually watch Ross Fisher play. He’s been around forever, had some great moments, but honestly, keeping track is a pain.

First step? Hit the usual golf news sites – PGA Tour, European Tour. Big mistake. Typed “Ross Fisher schedule” into Google. Mostly got old stuff, articles from years back, nothing current. Annoying. Felt like digging through junk drawer.
Switched gears. Instead of searching for him, I looked at the actual golf tournament schedules themselves. Went straight to the DP World Tour website calendar, then the PGA Tour site. Scanned the entry lists player by player, tournament by tournament.
Found him! Key spots:
- DP World Tour Events: This is his main scene now. Guy plays a lot more on the European circuit. Scrolling the list, saw he’s committed to the BMW International Open next. Score!
- Co-sanctioned Majors/Events: Kept an eye out for ones both DP and PGA run. The Genesis Scottish Open? Yeah, good chance he pops up there. Big names pull him out.
- Senior Majors Coming Up: Okay, real talk – he’s getting close to that 50-year mark! Made a note in my phone to check senior major entry lists later this year or early next. Could be sneaky-good watching.
The watching part is a whole other mess. Timezones! Europe? Means early mornings for me. Grabbed coffee. Tried streaming services first. Peacock sometimes has DP events. Fumbled around the app, felt lost. PGA Tour Live? Nope, mainly for US stuff.
Ended up just checking the official tournament sites for streaming info the week of. Some have free streams, brutal quality though. Usually just caved and used Sky Sports Golf via TV. Paid for it anyway.

Best moment actually watching? Saw him play at the Porsche European Open replay last week on Sky. The guy didn’t win, but HOLY COW, hit one iron shot tight on a par 3. Vintage Fisher. Felt worth the 4 AM wakeup call… barely. Was practically throwing up from sleepy.
And the gossip? Overheard some guys in the office cafe complaining. Dave, this junior developer, was whining because his “efficient tournament tracking app” crashed trying to load player data. Turns out he was just scraping some junk fan site, not the official feeds. Served him right, trying to cut corners. Boss ripped him a new one – “No cheap hacks, Dave! We pay for API access for a reason!” Classic Dave. Always looking for the shortcut.
