Okay, so I’ve been digging into this whole “2k13 ratings” thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a trip down memory lane. I wanted to see how players were rated back then, you know, compare them to now, see who was overrated, underrated, the whole nine yards.

First, I fired up my old gaming rig. It’s a beast, but it’s been collecting dust. I had to blow off a thick layer, like I was excavating an ancient artifact. Seriously.
Then, I spent a good hour just trying to find my copy of NBA 2K13. It was buried in a box with a bunch of other old games, tangled up in wires and controllers. I felt like an archaeologist, carefully brushing away the dirt to reveal a hidden treasure.
Once I got the game installed (which took forever, by the way), I jumped straight into the roster. And wow, seeing those ratings… it brought back so many memories!
My Findings
- LeBron James, obviously, was a monster. I mean, the guy was practically unstoppable. His rating reflected that.
- Kobe Bryant, still a force to be reckoned with. You could tell he was getting older, but he still had that killer instinct, and the rating showed he still was at that level.
- Kevin Durant, rising star. You could see the potential, the scoring machine he would become.
- Then there were some guys… who I thought would be rated higher, and others I was shocked to see so low. It’s amazing how much things change in a few years. I am thinking I should do some comparsion articles.
I spent the rest of the evening just playing games with those classic teams. It was pure nostalgia. Reliving those old matchups, seeing those familiar faces… it was awesome. It was super fun and reminded me of simpler times.
Honestly, this whole experience made me realize how much I miss those old 2K games. They weren’t perfect, but they had a certain charm. And those ratings? They’re a snapshot of a specific moment in basketball history. A time capsule, almost.
