Okay, so the other day, I was trying to find out how old this UFC fighter, Julieta Martínez, is. It wasn’t as straightforward as I thought it would be, so I figured I’d share my little adventure here.
First, I hit up the usual spots, you know, the main sports websites. I typed in “Julieta Martínez UFC age” and figured it would be right there at the top. But nope, just a bunch of stuff about her height, weight, and fight records. I did get that she’s a strawweight fighter, fights at 115 lbs, and is 5’3″ tall. Also, her date of birth is September 14th. Her fight record is pretty good, 8 wins and no losses. She’s from Argentina. That’s cool and all, but not what I was looking for.
So, I scrolled down a bit more. Found some info about her last fight, which was against some Leslie Hernandez on October 15th. I even found a site that had details about a fight with some Apdelgarim at something called Samurai Fight House 11. Still no age.
Then I thought, maybe I should check out some more specialized MMA sites. I landed on a couple that had her profile and biography. They basically repeated the same stuff: her fight record, the fact that she’s from Argentina, and that she’s 3-0 as a pro now. Still, no age.
At this point, I was getting a bit frustrated. I mean, how hard is it to find out how old someone is, especially a fighter? I even tried different ways of searching, like “Julieta Martínez DOB” (date of birth), but still nothing clear about her age.
Finally, I went back to one of the first sites I found. It had her date of birth as September 14, but no year. So, I did some quick math. I figured, okay, she’s 3-0 now, so she probably turned pro not too long ago. I guessed a few years and did some calculations based on that, and I think she might be around her early twenties, maybe 22 or 23? But honestly, that’s just a guess.
