My Hunt for That White Bengals Jersey
Okay, so let me tell you about trying to get one of those Bengals away uniforms. Specifically, I was dead set on grabbing one of the white ones. You know, the clean look they wear on the road. I saw them play in prime time, I think it was, and thought, man, that looks sharp. Decided right then I needed one.

First stop, naturally, was the official team shop online. Seemed simple enough, right? Wrong. Clicked around, found the jerseys section, looked for the white ones… mostly sold out. Especially in common sizes like Large or XL. They had like, a Small, and maybe a 3XL of a player I wasn’t really looking for. Bit frustrating, I gotta say.
Alright, plan B. I started checking those big online sports retailers. You know the ones. Fanatics, Dick’s Sporting Goods online, places like that. Same deal, pretty much. Lots of black jerseys, plenty of orange ones, but the white away jerseys? Slim pickings. It felt like everyone else had the same idea I did.
I spent a good couple of evenings just searching around. I even looked on places like eBay. Found a few there, but you gotta be careful. Some looked a bit sketchy, maybe not the real deal. And others? People were asking crazy prices because they knew they were hard to find. It’s wild how much resale can inflate things.
Here’s what I found was tough:
- Finding the specific player I wanted in white.
- Getting it in my actual size.
- Making sure it was an official, legit jersey.
- Not paying an arm and a leg for it.
After maybe a week of off-and-on searching, I stumbled across one on a secondary marketplace site that looked legit. It was my size, the player I liked (Burrow, naturally), and the price was… well, it was higher than retail, but not totally insane like some others. Pulled the trigger. Felt like I’d won a small battle, you know?

Took a little while to arrive, always a bit nervous until you have it in hand. But it showed up, looked great, good quality. So yeah, success in the end. But man, it shouldn’t be that much of a hunt just to get a popular team’s current away jersey. Just wanted to share that little adventure. Sometimes the simple things end up being a whole process.
