Okay, so I’ve been meaning to get from Phoenix (PHX) to Atlanta (ATL) for a while now, and I finally did it! It wasn’t as straightforward as I thought, so I figured I’d jot down my experience for anyone else thinking about making the trip.

First, I spent ages looking for flights. Seriously, I checked all the usual websites, and the prices were all over the place. I played around with the dates, trying different days of the week, and finally found something that wasn’t going to break the bank.
Booking the Flight
- Looked at flights – prices high!
- Changed the search and found the right price for my budget.
Next, the packing. I always overpack, so I tried to be a little more sensible this time. I rolled my clothes instead of folding them (supposedly saves space, but I’m not convinced). I still ended up with a suitcase that was probably a bit too heavy, but oh well.
Prepping for the Trip
- Made the decision to only use a carry on, to save money!
- Packed my suitcase, still too heavy, and just pay the fee!
Getting to the airport was another adventure. I left what I thought was plenty of time, but traffic was a nightmare. I started to panic a little, thinking I was going to miss my flight, but I made it with about 20 minutes to spare. Went throught the security and customs, then got to my gate.
Getting to the Airport
- Almost missed flight.
- Ran to my gate!
The flight itself was pretty uneventful. I watched a couple of movies, read a bit, and mostly just tried to relax. I’m not the best flyer, so I always get a little anxious, but it was smooth sailing (or flying, I guess!).
Finally, I landed in Atlanta. I grabbed my bag, called for my pre_arranged car service, and it took me straight to where I had to get to. It was a long day of traveling, but I made it!

Overall Experince: A bit exhausting, but finally, I made it!
