Okay, so I’ve been invited to a celebrity softball game. Cool, right? But then the panic set in – what do I wear?! I didn’t want to look like I was trying too hard, but I also didn’t want to show up in my everyday jeans and t-shirt. It’s a celebrity game, after all!
First, I scoured my closet. I pulled out everything that seemed remotely sporty or “cute casual.” A bunch of dresses, some skirts, a few pairs of shorts…it was a mess. I tried on a few combinations, but nothing felt quite right.
- The sundress? Too girly.
- The athletic shorts and tank? Too…athletic.
- Jeans and a cute top? Still felt boring.
Then,I started to think, It is still a softball game.I decided to go a bit more casual. I think this would fit the softball game vibe better!
I grabbed my favorite pair of slightly distressed denim shorts – not too short, not too long. Then, I paired them with a simple, solid-colored v-neck t-shirt. I considered a baseball cap, but I was kinda feeling a cute, messy bun instead.
So I quickly test * looks good.
For shoes, I debated between sneakers and sandals.
The sneakers fit with the sporty theme, but I thought some cute, strappy sandals would elevate the look just a * I picked sandals.
Added some simple jewelry – a delicate necklace and some small hoop earrings. I didn’t want anything too flashy. Grabbed a small crossbody bag to hold my phone, wallet, and some sunscreen. And that was it!
I felt comfortable, confident, and like I hit the right balance between casual and put-together. I hope celebrity softball game would be fun!
