Okay so this morning I thought, hmm I really wanna know how Colombia did in that match last night, right? Plus, where do they even stand right now? World Cup qualifiers are getting spicy. Didn’t know squat when I woke up.

First thing I did? Grabbed my laptop while still half-asleep. Fired up Chrome, obviously. Typed something like “colombia football score today” straight into the search box. Hit enter.
Bam! A ton of sports pages popped up. Clicked on the very first one that looked familiar, you know, one of those big international sports names. Hoped it had the update quick and easy.
- Saw the final score right away on their main football page. Boom. Colombia won.
- Looked under the score – tiny link for “Fixtures/Standings”. Clicked that.
Alright, gotta see where they actually sit now. Took me a second to spot the South American section. Found the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying table. Scanned down… Colombia wasn’t top, but they weren’t near the bottom either. Okay, decent position for now.
Now, here’s where it got a little dumb. Got curious about the player who scored. Headed back to the main page. Found the match report link. Clicked it.
WHAM! Got slapped with one of those stupid paywalls. You know the ones. “Subscribe now for unlimited access!” Nah, I’m good. Screw that.

Closed that tab fast. Went back to my search results. Scrolled down a bit. Found another sports site link, this time one focused more on South American stuff. Didn’t trust it much, but clicked anyway.
Lucky break! No paywall here. Confirmed the score, saw the same standings table basically. Found the scorer’s name there too, tucked inside the report. Good enough for me. Saved that link in my bookmarks this time.
Checked my phone last. Looked at the notifications from that football app I downloaded ages ago. It actually pinged me overnight with the score! I just never heard it cause I was asleep. Ha! The stupid app actually worked. It sent the standings update in a separate notification later.
So yeah, basically spent 15 minutes bouncing between the laptop and my phone, fighting a useless paywall, but got there in the end. Score confirmed. Standings seen. Player info found. App even did its thing without me asking. Simple stuff, just gotta know where to look (and avoid the money traps).
