My Unbelievable Day at the Arena
So, get this. I was there, not for the game, not really. I was actually trying to deliver a custom-made hot dog costume to my cousin who works as one of those silly halftime show guys. Don’t ask. Anyway, I’m backstage, near where the performers get ready, trying to find this guy in a sea of weird outfits, and suddenly there’s all this commotion. Like, serious-faced security dudes rushing around.
At first, I just see a flash of red fur and a bunch of arena staff looking all stressed out. People were definitely looking, pointing, you know how it is. Then I see him, Benny, right in the thick of it. He wasn’t like, thrashing about or being a psycho, not from what I saw. He actually looked kinda confused, like he’d just been told his favorite snack was discontinued. But these security guys, they were all business, man. They were steering him, pretty firmly I gotta say, towards a service exit I’d never even seen before.
And here’s where my day went totally sideways. I guess ’cause I was holding this giant, floppy hot dog costume and looking lost, and maybe I was a bit too close to where they were taking Benny, one of the security guys just ropes me in too! He starts asking me what I’m doing there, if I’m with “the bull.” I’m trying to explain about the hot dog suit and my idiot cousin, but it’s like talking to a brick wall.
