So today I really wanted to catch up on Alex Lewis’s news segments, right? Been hearing everybody talk about his latest report on local businesses but couldn’t find the full video anywhere. Searched YouTube first obviously, typed “Alex Lewis 9 News” and got like a million unrelated clips. Total mess.
The Stupid Search Cycle
Then I went straight to the station’s main page. Spent like 15 minutes clicking around their video section – saw weather reports, old interviews, everything EXCEPT what I was looking for. Almost threw my coffee cup at the screen. Why do news sites make it so hard to find their own content?
The Sneaky Workaround
Finally remembered I bookmarked their streaming section last year. Digged through browser history and bam – found that hidden gem. The trick is: you gotta go through their live stream section even if you don’t want live stuff. Here’s exactly what works:
- Load the main live player page
- Ignore the “live now” stuff on top
- Scroll way down to where it says “Recent Segments” or whatever
- Look for Alex’s face in the thumbnails
What Actually Works
Tried this with different devices too because why not. On phone you need to rotate sideways to even see the scroll menu properly. Desktop worked best honestly. Once I got to his segment collection I could finally watch that full report about downtown shops. Took me less than 2 minutes after all that frustration earlier.
Seriously news channels make it way more complicated than it should be. Should just have a damn “reporters” tab right on the front page. But hey, least I cracked it so you don’t gotta suffer like I did!
