LAX to ARN: How to Get the Cheapest Flights, Compare & Save!

Okay, so I needed to get from LAX to ARN. It wasn’t some spur-of-the-moment thing. I’d been planning this trip for a while, and, man, figuring out the flights was a bit of a headache.

Finding the “Right” Flight

First, I started with the usual, you know, hopping on those flight comparison websites. I punched in my dates and… yikes! A whole bunch of options, some with crazy layovers, some with prices that made my eyes water.

I spent a good few hours just sifting through everything. I wanted a direct flight, ideally, but those were super pricey. So, I started looking at one-stop options. I quickly learned that the length of the layover is KEY. Too short, and you’re sprinting through some random airport. Too long, and you’re basically living in an airport lounge for a day.

  • Checked multiple websites. Gotta compare, right?
  • Filtered by the number of stops. One stop was my sweet spot.
  • Read the fine print! Seriously, some of those baggage fees are brutal.
  • Considered the flight times. Didn’t want to arrive at my destination completely exhausted.

I narrowed it down to a couple of flights, then, and this part is kind of silly I guess,I started researching the airlines. I had it in my mind that they had the best price, even better than going direct. I mean, reading reviews, checking their on-time stats, that sort of thing. It’s probably overkill, but I like to be prepared.

Booking and Pre-Flight Prep

Finally, I bit the bullet and booked the flight. Book direct is what everyone says! I felt that little twinge of “did I make the right choice?” but, you know, too late now!

Then came the pre-flight scramble. I made sure my passport was up-to-date, packed my bags (trying to stay within the weight limits, of course), and downloaded some movies for the plane.

Oh, and I almost forgot! I checked the airport’s website to see about parking/transportation options. Didn’t want any last-minute surprises there.

The Actual Journey

Getting to LAX was, well, it’s LAX. Traffic was a beast, but I made it with plenty of time. Security was the usual song and dance, but hey, I got through it.

The flight itself was pretty uneventful, thankfully. I watched a few movies, ate some questionable airplane food, and tried to get some sleep (keyword: tried).

The layover was smooth. I found my connecting gate, grabbed a coffee, and people-watched for a bit. Before I knew it, I was boarding the next flight.

Finally, I landed at ARN. Grabbed my bags, breezed through customs, and hailed a taxi. I was officially there! A bit tired, but happy to have made it.
