Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with making those “attack fans” you see all over TikTok. You know, the ones where people edit together clips of their favorite actors or characters looking all cool and powerful? Yeah, those. I figured, why not try and make one myself?

Getting Started

First things first, I needed some clips. I decided to make one for my favorite anime character. I spent a good chunk of time just browsing YouTube, looking for scenes where he’s in action, doing awesome stuff. You gotta have those epic moments, right?

I used a screen recorder,I think that’s work, because I don’t want to talk about where and how to download videos, to grab the clips I wanted. It was a bit tedious, going back and forth, making sure I got the timing just right. I ended up with like, twenty different short clips.

Putting it Together

Next, I needed some editing software. I just used the a free video editor. Nothing fancy, just something that lets you cut and arrange clips, add some music, and maybe some basic effects.

I dragged all my clips into the editor and started arranging them. This part took the longest, honestly. I wanted it to flow well, you know? Like, build up the intensity, then have a big impactful moment, then another build-up… it’s all about the rhythm.

  • First I try my best to pick a song. I picked a song with a strong beat, something that would really hype up the visuals.
  • Then, I spent a lot time to adjust the clips. Getting the timing right with the music was tricky! I kept tweaking the cuts, making some clips shorter, some longer, until it felt just right.

Adding Effects(optional)

Once I was happy with the arrangement, I added a few effects. Some slow-motion on the really cool parts, a little bit of color correction to make everything pop. I didn’t go too crazy, though. I wanted the focus to be on the action, not the effects.

Finally, I exported the video and… boom! My very own attack fan. It wasn’t perfect, but it was pretty damn cool, if I do say so myself. It definitely gave me a new appreciation for all those fan editors out there. This stuff takes time and effort!

Honestly, the whole process was way more fun than I expected. It’s kinda addictive, taking these raw clips and turning them into something that gets you all hyped up. I might even make another one… we’ll see.
