Okay, so I’ve been hearing a lot about this Taylor Dickson Golf thing, and I finally decided to give it a shot myself. I’m not a pro golfer or anything, just your average weekend warrior who likes to hit the links when I can. So, I went in with zero expectations, just hoping to maybe pick up a few tips.
Getting Started
First thing I did was some digging. I wanted to see what other people were saying about it. I watched a bunch of videos, read some articles, and mostly, it seemed like people were pretty positive, so that got me a bit more pumped to try it.
The Practice
I grabbed my clubs and headed to the driving range. I’m not gonna lie, it felt a little weird at first. I’m used to my usual swing, and trying something new felt a bit awkward. I started with some short irons, just trying to get a feel for the changes.
- First few swings: Totally whiffed a couple. Seriously, I almost fell over.
- Getting the hang of it: After about 15 minutes, I started to connect a little better. I was still spraying the ball all over the place, but at least I was making contact.
- Seeing Some Improvement: I focused on this for, like, an hour. I could start to feel the differnce, it’s really subtle, though.
The Result (So Far)
So, have I magically become a scratch golfer after one session? Of course not. But did I see some potential? Yeah, I think so. I definitely felt like I was hitting the ball a bit straighter, and maybe even a little further, by the end of my practice session. I’m also a person who needs to really feel a change to believe in it, and I was starting to feel something different.
I’m going to keep at it. I’m not expecting miracles overnight, but I’m curious to see where this goes. Maybe I’ll update you guys in a few weeks after I’ve had more time to work on it.
