Okay, so, I’ve been trying to figure out this whole Space City Home Network thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a journey. I’m a huge Houston sports fan, you know, Rockets and Astros, the whole deal. So, naturally, I wanted to make sure I could catch all their games.

First, I started digging around to see what this network even was and where I could find it. Turns out, it’s the go-to place for most of the Rockets and Astros games. Sounds simple enough, right? Wrong.

Then came the tricky part – figuring out how to actually watch it. See, I’m not big on traditional cable, been using streaming services for years now. It turns out, as of right now, only a couple of streaming platforms actually carry Space City Home Network. Talk about limited options!

  • I checked out DIRECTV Stream first. Seemed like a decent option, and they do have the network.
  • Then I looked into fuboTV. They also offer it, which was a relief. Gotta have some choices, you know?

But here’s the thing, if you’re not on DIRECTV Stream or fuboTV, you’re kinda out of luck in the streaming world. I mean, come on, it’s 2025! Shouldn’t there be more ways to watch your local teams without being tied down to cable or limited streaming options?

So I went down the rabbit hole of regular cable options. Turns out, if you have a pay TV subscription in the Houston area, you are likely to get the channel. Providers like ATT U-verse and DirecTV are all good to go.

I even tried to find out if there was another way to watch Astros games. Seems like the only way to watch most games is through Space City Home Network. Of course, there are national broadcasts on channels like FOX, FS1, ESPN, stuff like that. Don’t forget some games are exclusively on Apple TV+ or The Roku Channel. But to be honest, the best way is to find a way to get Space City Home Network.

My Final Thoughts

After all this digging, I’m still a little frustrated with the whole situation. It feels like accessing your local sports teams shouldn’t be this complicated. But for now, it looks like my choices are a bit limited. Guess I’ll be sticking with my current setup and keeping an eye out for any changes. Hopefully, in the future, there will be more ways for us cord-cutters to catch our favorite Houston teams without jumping through hoops!
