Okay, so I’ve been eyeing this Suzuki GSX-S1000 for a while now. It’s a real beast, and I finally decided to pull the trigger and get one. Let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride!
First off, I started by checking out all the local Suzuki dealers. I mean, I had to compare prices, right? I spent hours looking at their inventories, both new and used. Some of the used ones were going for as low as $6,500, which is a steal! But the new ones were tempting too, even though they were up around $11,500 or more.
Scouring the Listings
- I visited at least five dealerships.
- I talked to a bunch of sales guys, some were helpful, some not so much.
- I even looked at private sellers online, but it felt a bit risky.
After all that, I narrowed it down to a couple of options. There was this one used GSX-S1000, a 2017 model, that caught my eye. It had a few miles on it, but it was in pretty good shape. The price was decent too, around $7,000. But then, there was this brand spanking new 2023 model. It was beautiful, shiny, and had all the latest features.
Making the Decision

In the end, I decided to go with the new one. Yeah, it was more expensive, but I figured it was worth it. I mean, who doesn’t love that new bike smell? Plus, I wanted all those fancy rider assistance systems, like the ride-by-wire and cruise control.
So, I went back to the dealership, signed all the papers, and rode that beauty home. Let me tell you, it was exhilarating! The power, the handling, it’s just amazing. I have been riding it every chance I get, and I’m loving every minute of it.
This GSX-S1000 is seriously fast, and it’s so much fun to ride. This is really a nice motorcycle. I’m so glad I made this purchase. It’s definitely one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. This motorcycle will make me happy for sure!
