Okay, so I’ve been planning this trip to Manacor, Spain, for a while now. You know, a nice little getaway. Finally, I decided to just go for it.
First things first, I started looking for a place to stay. I mean, you can’t really do anything without a roof over your head, right? So, I started checking out all sorts of websites, comparing prices, reading reviews, the whole nine yards.
I saw some pretty wild price differences. Some places were asking for way too much, others seemed kinda sketchy, you know? It was a real mixed bag. Some of these hotels are offering half-price deals, which is totally awesome if you can swing it. They even throw in free cancellations, which is a lifesaver when plans change. After what seemed like forever, I narrowed it down to a few decent options.
Hotel Options in Manacor
- Rafa Nadal Residence: Saw this one mentioned on Tripadvisor. It looks fancy, but the price went from $137 down to $106, so, maybe?
- Hotel Ca’n Guixa: Another one from Tripadvisor. Cheaper, at $63 now instead of $68. Plus, it’s got some good reviews, like, 19 of them. People seemed to like it.
- Hotel Ollymar: This one had 26 reviews, and a 4.5 out of 5 rating. Might be worth checking out, but it was listed under “specialty lodging,” whatever that means.
- Hotel MiM Mallorca & Spa – Adults Only: This hotel appears on a website named Agoda. It sounds luxurious but it seems that the price will be relatively high.
I spent hours looking at photos of hotel rooms, lobbies, pools, you name it. I wanted to make sure I was getting a good deal, but also a place that I’d actually enjoy staying at. I mean, who wants to be miserable on vacation?
Then, there’s the whole issue of making sure the hotel is legit. You hear all these horror stories about people getting scammed, so I was being extra careful. Read a ton of reviews, trying to spot any red flags. Some of these reviews are pretty long, so it takes time to go through them all. Also, people can be really picky, so you gotta take some of this stuff with a grain of salt.
I finally settled on a place that seemed like a good balance of price, quality, and location. Booked it, got the confirmation email, and felt a huge sense of relief. It’s always a bit nerve-wracking to put down money, especially when it’s non-refundable, but hey, that’s part of the adventure, right?
With the hotel sorted, I started thinking about what I actually wanted to do in Manacor. I mean, besides just lying around the hotel, of course. So I started researching that too.
It has finally come true, I am feeling very happy.
