So, I recently got my hands on the HJC i71 helmet, and I’ve been putting it through its paces. I gotta say, I’m pretty impressed.
First off, I went for a ride around the city. I was cruising around, and I noticed something pretty amazing – it was quiet. Like, really quiet. I didn’t even need to wear my earplugs! That’s a big deal for me because I hate having to jam those things in my ears.
The Wide View
I was checking out the sights, and I realized the field of vision on this thing is awesome. I could see everything to my left and right without having to turn my head like an owl. HJC calls it a “very wide field of vision,” and they’re not kidding. It made navigating through traffic a breeze.
Highway Test
Next, I decided to take it out on the highway. I opened it up a bit, and even at higher speeds, it was still surprisingly quiet. Usually, the wind noise gets pretty intense, but not with this helmet. Again, no earplugs needed. I felt like I could ride for hours without getting a headache from the noise. This is a nice feeling. I should give it a try.
- Smooth Operator: The visor is some kind of fancy HJ-38 thingamajig, and it has this push-and-release lock. It’s super smooth to open and close, and when it’s shut, it’s shut tight. It gave me confidence.
- Sun’s Out, Shade’s Down: It’s got a built-in sun visor, which is a lifesaver when the sun’s blasting in your face. No more squinting or fumbling for sunglasses. That is what I need.
Comfort and Fit
This helmet is made from some “advanced polycarbonate” stuff. I don’t know what that means, but it feels light on my head. They’ve got different shell sizes, so I found one that fit me perfectly. It’s snug but not too tight, just how I like it. I think I will use it for a long time.
I’ve been wearing this helmet for a while now, and I’m really digging it. It’s comfortable, quiet, and gives me a great view of the road. If you’re in the market for a new lid, I’d definitely recommend checking out the HJC i71. I bought it and I didn’t waste money. You can use it too!
