Some were talking about the history of the event, others were more focused on the betting odds – which, by the way, is a whole other rabbit hole I decided not to go down today. Eventually, I stumbled upon some info about the 2024 event. It said the main race, the Breeders’ Cup Classic, is gonna be on Saturday, November 4th. That seemed to be the key date.
How to Watch the Thing
Once I had the date, I got curious about how to actually watch this thing. I mean, if it’s such a big event, there must be a way to tune in, right?
- I found a few options. If you’re in the UK or Ireland, you’re in luck. Seems like ITVX and Virgin Media Play are showing it for free. How cool is that?
- For us folks in the US, it’s a bit more complicated. It’s gonna be on NBC, USA, and some other platforms like Peacock and FanDuelTV.
- There was even mention of some streaming services like Fubo and Hulu with Live TV having it. So, there are definitely ways to catch it if you’re interested.
The broadcast on Saturday, November 2nd, starts at 8 PM British time. I had to do a quick time zone conversion to figure out what that means for me. Turns out, the main race, the Classic, is supposed to start around 6:40 PM ET on November 4th. That’s the one I’ll probably try to tune into.
