The other day, I got to thinking about the Chiefs, and man, have they been a rollercoaster. So, I started digging into how they’re shaping up this year. First thing I did was check out their regular season record. They finished 15-2 and clinched the AFC’s No. 1 seed. Not too shabby, right?
Then, I dove into some game highlights. There was this one game where Patrick Mahomes threw for 320 yards and three touchdowns. It was a blowout! I also read about their 25-22 overtime victory against San Francisco, which gave them their second straight Super Bowl win. Talk about clutch!

- They’re sitting at +350, which means they’ve got a 22.2% chance of winning it all, according to the oddsmakers.
- Compare that to the start of the season when their odds were +500.
But it hasn’t been all smooth sailing. Read some articles, and they pointed out some lucky breaks the Chiefs have had. Like a toe being out of bounds in Week 1, and a questionable pass interference call in another game.
My research
So, I decided to compare them to another team, the Steelers. The Steelers, they’re 10-5, but they suffered some tough losses recently. It got me thinking, the Chiefs are doing well, but can they keep it up? They’ve got a shot at winning three Super Bowls in a row. That would be insane, wouldn’t it?
I even found this tidbit where the Chiefs decided not to play their superstar quarterback in a game that didn’t matter much for the standings. Smart move, I guess. Anyway, after all this looking around, I’m still not sure what to make of the Chiefs this year. They’re good, no doubt, but can they make history? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see!
