Okay, so, about this Tolman Hall at Vanderbilt, let me tell you about my experience.

All About Tolman Hall Vanderbilt: Everything You Need to Know Before You Go

First off, I started by looking up a bunch of stuff online about dorms at Vanderbilt. I saw that Tolman Hall kept popping up, and people seemed to have mixed feelings about it. I decided to dig deeper.

I checked out some student reviews. Some folks raved about the location, being right in the middle of campus and all. Others complained it was an older building. They say It’s close to the cafeteria, also the UC. But it seemed like a decent option overall.

Then I moved in. They have volleyball courts around the hall. I found out that it’s a traditional style dorm. This means shared bathrooms and no fancy frills. Honestly, it was a bit of a shock at first. I was moving into a Tolman single this semester.

But you know what? I started getting used to it. I saw some pictures shared by other students. And all residence halls include Commodore Card access to the building, central air conditioning, Xfinity On-Campus IPTV Service, wireless connection to the campus network. The place does have its charms.

  • The card access is super convenient.
  • Air conditioning is a lifesaver in the summer.
  • Having Xfinity and Wi-Fi is awesome for, well, everything.
  • Carpeted corridors are nice.
  • Camera surveillance of all exterior doors makes you feel safe.

I ended up really enjoying my time in Tolman. It wasn’t perfect, sure, but it was a solid place to live and make some memories. I even got to know some of my hallmates pretty well, which was a big plus. I learned that the older buildings sometimes have more character.

So, if you’re thinking about Tolman Hall, I’d say go for it! Just keep in mind it’s not the newest or fanciest place, but it’s got its own unique vibe, and you might just love it.

My Final Thoughts

Living in Tolman Hall was definitely a unique experience. I went from being unsure to actually appreciating the place. It taught me that sometimes, the best experiences come from the most unexpected places. Also, made me realize that a dorm is more than just a building – it’s about the people you meet and the memories you make.
