Hey everyone, it’s your boy back again with another one of my hands-on projects. This time, I got my hands on the 2024 Kawasaki Eliminator, and I’m here to share my experience with figuring out its miles per gallon (MPG).

First off, getting started

I picked up the bike, a sleek 2024 model, and the first thing I did was fill up the tank. It’s got a 13-liter tank, which is about 3.43 gallons for us in the States. I made sure to top it off properly to get an accurate starting point. Before I hit the road, I also connected my phone to the bike using the Rideology app. This app is pretty cool because it lets you access bike data and keep a ride log. I figured it would be useful for tracking my mileage.

Hitting the Road

I started my test by riding around town, doing my usual daily stuff. I wanted to simulate real-world conditions, so I hit both city streets and some highways. The Eliminator is powered by a 451cc engine, and it’s got some pep. I read somewhere that it can go over 100 mph, but I wasn’t trying to test that out. My main focus was the fuel efficiency.

Daily Checks and Riding

  • Every day, I checked the usual stuff: tire pressure, oil level, and made sure the lights were working. It doesn’t take much time, but it’s a good habit.
  • I rode in various conditions—sometimes in traffic, sometimes cruising on the highway. I wanted to see how the bike performed in different situations.

Tracking the Mileage

I kept a close eye on my fuel gauge and the trip meter. Every time I filled up, I noted down the miles I had driven and how much fuel I added. The Rideology app also helped by keeping a log of my rides, but I preferred to do my calculations manually to double-check everything.

The Results

After a couple of weeks of riding and a few fill-ups, I crunched the numbers. I drove a total of about 300 miles in mixed conditions. On average, I was getting around 45 miles per gallon. It lines up with what some experts say, about 31.45 kilometers per liter, which is roughly the same.

My Takeaway

So, there you have it. The 2024 Kawasaki Eliminator is pretty fuel-efficient, especially for a bike with its engine size. With a full tank, you can expect to go about 150 miles before needing to refuel. It’s a solid choice if you’re looking for something that’s both fun to ride and decent on gas. I hope my little experiment helps you out if you’re considering this bike. Stay tuned for more of my adventures, and ride safe!
