Okay, so I’m a huge Celtics fan, right? Like, HUGE. And sometimes, I just can’t catch the game on TV. Maybe I’m stuck at work, maybe I’m on the road, whatever. But I gotta hear the game, you know? So, I figured I’d share my little routine for how I listen to Celtics games live, no matter where I am.

First thing I did was some digging around to figure out where to tune in. Turns out, 98.5 The Sports Hub is the main spot. These guys broadcast every single game. Sometimes, when there’s a scheduling conflict, I found out that ROCK 92.9 will carry the games.

Figuring Out the Radio

  • Tried 98.5 The Sports Hub first – worked like a charm!
  • Kept ROCK 92.9 in mind as a backup.

Now, if you’re like me and you’re not always near a radio, you gotta get creative. I found a few different ways to stream the broadcast online.

Streaming Options

  • Tried a couple of the big streaming platforms. But you know what? Most of them need a subscription, and usually the NBA League Pass.
  • Then I found out about a few free options, and they totally do the trick.

Sometimes the game will be on NBC Sports Boston or even TNT. But that’s TV, and I need radio. I figured out that NBC Sports Boston is only for folks who are local subscribers, which is good to know.

So, I grabbed my phone, opened up the browser, and after a bit of trial and error, found a couple sites that stream 98.5 The Sports Hub. Bookmarked those bad boys for easy access. Now, I can listen to the game live from my phone, no problem.

After every game, I always tune into the CLNS Radio Celtics Postgame Show. They do a great job of breaking down the game, and it’s cool to hear the reactions and analysis.

It took a little bit of setup, but now I’m all set. Whether I’m at home, at work, or driving, I can always catch the Celtics game live. And let me tell you, there’s nothing like listening to a good game on the radio. It’s like the announcers are right there with you, painting a picture of the action. Go Celtics!
