Alright, so, let me tell you about this kid, Miles Russell. I mean, this guy is 15 years old, you know, just a teenager, and he’s already making waves in the golf world. I started to follow this kid’s journey closely a few months ago. I was curious, you know, how someone so young could handle the pressure and all that.
So, I dug into his background. The first thing I did was check out some articles about him. I read that he’s from Florida, and he’s been playing golf pretty much his whole life. And this April, he became the youngest player ever to make the cut on the Korn Ferry Tour. That’s like, the step right below the PGA TOUR, pretty impressive for a 15-year-old, right?

I watched some of his rounds on the Korn Ferry Tour. This kid’s got game. I mean, he’s hitting the ball like a pro, calm and collected. He shot 68 and 66 in his first two rounds at the Lakewood National Golf Club. I was like, “Wow, this kid is for real.” He made it look so easy, too, like he’s been doing it for years.

The Rocket Mortgage Classic
Then, I heard the news that he got a sponsor exemption to play in the Rocket Mortgage Classic. That’s a PGA TOUR event! I couldn’t believe it. I immediately marked my calendar to watch. This was huge, a major step up from the Korn Ferry Tour. I was excited for him, but also a little nervous. How would he handle the bigger stage?
Leading up to the tournament, I followed all the news about him. Everyone was talking about this young phenom. The pressure must have been immense, but he seemed to handle it like a champ. I mean, from what I could see, he was just focused on his game, not letting the hype get to him.
Looking Ahead
Now, I’m just waiting to see how he does at the Rocket Mortgage Classic. It’s going to be a real test, but I’m rooting for him. I even told all my friends about him, and now they’re all following his story too. It’s just amazing to see someone so young achieve so much. It makes you think, what were you doing when you were 15?
