So tonight Sevilla hosts Celta Vigo, right? Been tracking both teams lately and figured I’d throw my thoughts out there. Started my usual messing around this morning over coffee, spilling some as usual.

First, I checked who’s actually playing
Dragged myself over to the couch with my laptop. Searched for injury reports. Found out Sevilla’s main defender, Marcos Acuña, got injured last match. Big oof. That hole in defense? Yeah, that’s gonna hurt them big time. Then peeked at Celta’s squad. Saw their old hand striker Aspas is starting. That guy? Always finds a way to slip past defenders.
Then I went digging into their past stuff
Scrolled through my phone looking at old match results. Made some messy notes on a scrap paper.
- Sevilla at home: Okay, 4 wins out of last 5 league games. Actually surprised me!
- Celta away: Pure garbage away from home. Like, only won once this whole season away. Why do they hate traveling?
- Last meetup: Sevilla totally smashed them 3-0. Still remember Aspas looking like he wanted to murder someone.
Made me stop and think though – could Sevilla really do that again without Acuña? Not so sure.
Got sidetracked by real life stuff
My neighbor started mowing his lawn at 8 AM. Seriously dude? Took a 10-minute rant break texting my buddy about it. Totally threw my focus. Made me wonder if random stuff like this throws off players too before matches. Weird thought.

Putting the puzzle together
After lunch, spread all my messy notes on the table. Stared at them like some detective in a bad movie.
- Sevilla’s firepower looked good, especially with that home crowd pushing them.
- Celta… man, awful away, but that Aspas guy? A wildcard. Give him one slip-up and he takes it.
- That missing defender felt like a big crack. Could Celta hit through that gap?
Still felt Sevilla had the upper hand.
Made a call
Took a deep breath. Said out loud to my cat (he didn’t care): “Sevilla wins this.” Yeah, even with the missing guy. Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium is just too loud. Fans will push them over the line. Betting on a tight game though. Maybe 2-1 to Sevilla? Low-key nervous Aspas scores on that weak left side. But hey, gut feeling says Sevilla.
Anyway, got hungry after this whole thing. Went to make a sandwich. Real life > football predictions any day.
