Alright guys, so this morning I was scrolling through old memes, you know, just killing time after breakfast, and suddenly the Walmart yodeling kid popped into my head. That kid was everywhere back in the day! Crazy. Got me thinking, “Whatever happened to that kid? Wonder how he looks now?” Felt like a fun little internet rabbit hole to dive into.
The Search Begins (And the Annoying Stuff)
Opened my laptop, fired up the browser – just the usual one, you know. Typed in “Walmart yodeling kid now” and hit enter. Boom. Tons of results. But oh boy, half of ’em looked super sketchy. Clickbait city.
Clicked on the first couple. Big mistake. Instant pop-up ads wanting me to spin some stupid wheel for a prize. Nah. Closed those tabs fast. Another one tried flashing bright colors everywhere. No thanks. Felt like I needed an ad blocker just to survive.
Kept scrolling. Saw a few promising headlines promising “update” or “today”. Clicked one. Guess what? Whole dang article was just rehashing the old story, like we all have amnesia. Seriously? Wasted a minute reading stuff I already knew. Cussed a little under my breath. Moved on.
Finding the Good Stuff (Finally)
Found another article that seemed less… spammy. Clicked it. Prayed. This one actually mentioned his name! Mason Ramsey! Okay, finally some progress. Remembered him doing that “Lovesick Blues” thing later.
The article had a few pictures. Small ones at first. Couple grainy shots of him performing somewhere recently-ish. Kid shot up! Taller, lankier. Definitely not that little kid in the Walmart aisles anymore. Face changed, obviously. Hard to totally recognize at a quick glance.
Scrolled down a bit more. Found a link suggesting he had Instagram. Now we’re talking! Popped over there, searched for Mason Ramsey. Found his profile. Verified! Score! This felt way more legit than those weird articles.
The Big Reveal
His Instagram profile pic was the clincher. Clear shot. Yep, that’s him alright. Older version, but same eyes, similar smile just… older. Scrolled through his feed. Lots of pics from concerts, backstage stuff, looks like he’s singing country music proper now. Saw pictures with some other singers I recognized.
Found a more recent selfie. Dude’s like, practically grown! Tall, teenage-looking guy. Still got that kind of earnest face, but definitely matured. Hair’s styled different. Saw some videos too – sounds good! Voice deepened, matured just like him.
Wrapping It Up
Mission accomplished! The main things I noticed looking at how he looks today:
- TALL! He’s shot way up.
- Face matured, obviously a teenager/young man now.
- Still performing music, full country vibe.
- Looks comfortable on stage in recent photos/videos.
Closed the laptop feeling satisfied. Crazy how time flies, right? That iconic little yodeler turned into a young musician doing his thing. Fun little nostalgia trip with a clear answer at the end. Those annoying clickbait sites though? Almost ruined it!
